Barker, Barrand and Killen
Stories and Recitations, Old Songs 2000

At the Old Songs Festival, in Altamont, NY in June, 2000, spoken-word poet Les Barker joined singers Louis Killen and Tony Barrand for a workshop on stories and recitations. To illustrate how recitations were commonly created to celebrate special events, the session was led off by first-time visitor from England, Nigel Schofield, who created a recitation based on his trip to the Old Songs Festival.
